I remember the Day when Barak Obama started his second term.

It was freezing but beautiful. The sun shone on marble …

… and sparrows indiscriminately.

Hundreds of Thousands were expected to come. We had no invitation, we would not get close enough to see anything. So we stayed in Georgetown and watched the event on TV.

I remember walking to the Mall afterwards …

… and further to Capitol Hill.

We had planned to see the Parade, but the Parade was late. Everybody was waiting.

Hours passed.

Finally, when the building across the street took the sun from us, we left. The man next to us had been waiting when we arrived. He stayed.

I remember passing by the White House a few days later.

I remember the columns, …

… the white …

… and the black marble.

I remember the hallways in the Capitol, …

… and the halls.

I remember the loneliness of the guard …

I remember the colors.

I remember that we are all equal.
